Analyzing Recent Crash Killed One Teen and Injured Two Others

Car AccidentAuto accidents are unfortunately far from an uncommon occurrence in Miami. Protecting yourself with proper legal representation is one of the best things you can do in the event of a debilitating or even tragic auto accident. Consider a recent article for WSVN titled “1 dead, at least 2 hurt after car crash in Key Biscayne.”

The author of the article writes, “One teenager has died and two other teens have minor injuries after a single car crash in Key Biscayne. Key Biscayne police and Fire Rescue responded to the scene, just after 8 a.m., Friday. According to officials, 18-year-old Daniela Benavides Sanmiguel died on the scene of the crash, and two other male victims, both 17 years old, Isaias Medina and Mathew Saldana were transported to Ryder Trauma Center, but are in stable condition. Sanmiguel was in the backseat. According to police, the silver Porsche was speeding when it crashed into a tree and a light pole near a house located at 710 Harbor Drive. Officials are investigating whether seat belts were being worn and if alcohol played a role at the time of the crash, however, they said speed was a definite factor in this case. ‘The damage to the vehicle and the trees and the pole, that speed was definitely a factor,’ said Key Biscayne Police Chief Charles Press. ‘It’s just a massive amount of damage and that’s why we can at least say speed had to have been involved.’ Neighbors who heard the news said they are devastated about what happened. ‘Shocked, completely,’ said one woman who lives in the area. ‘I can’t imagine the family.’”
